PROMASIL® Pipe Insulation

Promat's range of PROMASIL® calcium silicate pipe insulation provides high resistance to corrosion under insulation to ASTM standards, extremely low stable thermal conductivity values and bespoke engineered solutions in oil, gas and energy plants across the world.

Promat PROMASIL® provides excellent resistance to corrosion under insulation (CUI) and is accredited to ASTM C795 and C1617 standards, which are industry benchmarks used to determine the corrosion that can occur on piping when exposed to environmental conditions requiring insulation. PROMASIL® therefore offers a “fit and forget” solution, whereas many competitor products require regular maintenance or periodic replacement of pipe sections due to corrosion.

Promat PROMASIL® has extremely stable low thermal conductivity values with the highest performance levels able to withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 1100oC. This minimises heat loss and safely contains high temperatures for new-build and refurbished oil, gas and energy projects.

PROMASIL® does not contain organic alloying elements or resins, therefore is not prone to time or temperature decay. Also, PROMASIL® insulation offers excellent dimensional stability and constant long term mechanical resistance to protect against mechanical stress. This ensures maximum durability and constant long-term system efficiency, thus offers a “fit and forget” solution requiring very little maintenance.

As part of Promat UK’s 360 degree Wheel of Assurance, PROMASIL® is manufactured in-house by Promat, technical support is provided from conception through to completion, the pipe sections are processed in Promat’s Workshop to create a bespoke turnkey solution and it is delivered with peace of mind on quality and traceability.
